The first board I brought when I moved to Oz in 2000 was a Grant Miller Waterskate. Loved that thing. Second wave I took off at the Bower at super low tide and went over shag rock and smashed up the fins and fin plugs and the tail. Did not get the board back for 2 weeks due to its condition. Brand new board almost written off. Over the next 10 yrs I never came close to hitting that rock ever again

Me too. Going to be getting a custom 9'2 comp mall of ECS in the Bamboo in april/may. I will post pics just for you weiry!

Speaking of ECS, where has SA gone? Haven't seen him on the forum for weeks!

I've had a number of Grant Millers board over the years & all have performed great & exactly as he said they would. Here's the most recent (3-4 mths ago) I got from him. They are both powerglides 8' & 7'5". The 7'5" as a quad just goes fantastic loose,fast (for me) & I can sneak a quick noseride on the right wave, exactly as I asked him to make.. The 8' is my longboard but I usually surf it with a thruster setup, just great. I'm 61yo & 100kg, been surfing for 50 of those & i'm seriously considering going down to 7' or 7'2" which prob doesn't sound much to you younger guys but at my age I'm stoked!!

Great pics Uncle Thirsty. I've had a few off him as well. You probably would never meet a nicer bloke to deal with. I had a 7'6 Powerglide and its the best midlength board I ever had. I'm putting a few pics up of a custom single fin he shaped for a mate . Its a wing pin single fin and he's also doing a SUBX for my son. I will have the pics up next week.

Does that nose concave work ok..just it looks "different" more a circle, than the usual.

In a nice mild Basil Fawlty voice.. "the POOL Ted/weiry, you want to know about the POOL" ,don't tell me about the pool. The freaking pool is ok now.. after I had to give the fu**ing neighbour $ to cut down the F****ig gum tree that was fuc***ing the balance of the pool up for years.... I, I gotta let it go, I gotta let it go, take a breath. Thanks guys for reminding me of that, LOL. What about the dirty pavers under the high shot of the boards, brought a $300 high pressure petrol water blaster & fixed that fuc**r. Right now I've got that off my chest back to what matters SURFING & BOARDS. The "plate" concave, gotta say yep its works, when I get on the nose of both boards & previous ones it/they just seem to take off, as in get faster and allow for noseriding. Dunno how it works but it does!! The "blue" can't remember what the blue rails of the 7'5" was called but the "blue" of the 8' is a teal (i think thats how you spell it) kinda greenroom blue if you know what I mean. SQ1 out ! (if you're old enough you might know this sign off). Keep surfing guys.

nice, but don't let mac and vanders near the circle nose thingie. they'll set up their coffee themos and carrot cake up on it
