Owning a noserider when you can't or don't nose ride, whats the point?

My point is you can ride them in almost dead flat conditions because of the very flat rocker profile.

No point at all.. Why would you not drop 4ish inches of the nose width so you could turn and paddle better.

So the question is what does the wide nose add to your boards then? It can still be the same rocker and same width in the nose you are just trimming the bulk you don't need? Not directed at you, just one of those one that always perplexed me as I'd think a narrow nose cuts through the water better and is less weight in the board. Only thought I have is it a stability thing when you are in the front third of the board.

I posted a vid from jonesy that he
put out.

He stated and from my limited experience a nose rider is going to work best if its in the water. Like low down and narrow for the owners particular weight as possible.
So a big monster float boat isn't going to get one noseriding.

This trend of big barge float boats is so wrong in so many ways.

Just a large area to catch micro small stuff,I've added a thinner narrower board for that very reason.

Lacey yes you posted Johns clip who is a fantastic surfer and can nose ride anything but you post it well after I purchased my board but I understand how it works now.

The big wide nose on longboards is there to stand on. So I agree Mac . If you want a heavy single fin style board and don't nose ride then get a pig .

Big floaty now is ****ed you want it wide but knifey so the water starts flowing over the rest of your board and holds you in trim for maximum tip time
