Nice work Mick that brought back some memories. What a rip-able wave that place is. Only been there twice but both times got some absolute screamers. Shame about the crowd but its not hard to understand why I love having a cold beer on the balcony at the surf club and looking up towards Nationals with that beautiful blue water and bush coming down into the sea- one of the best vistas in Australia.

Nice work Weiry - I had dinner and a beer at the Burleigh Heads surf club. Some nice vistas nut nothing like that one.

Re Mick and his beer choice - do not really know what to say about that to be honest. I am just hoping that because 2008 is such a long time ago he has developed some more informed tasting pleasures

NP mate...I'm not sure what tide it was at any time that day to be honest mate. I didn't have any knowledge of the waves I was riding, so was just looking at wind & swell. It was barreling more & cleaner when I went out at 1300. This probably was mid tide I'm guessing

That does look awesome, I didn't go there. We had kebabs from a market in a town behind there on the way to Noosa. Gonna have to do that next time

LOL sometimes I favour quantity over quality, I had to watch my drinking/driving. I had my trusty lil blue esky next to me, smoking rollies & knocking back the golds while I was filming. They went down pretty damn well from memory. This was Tea Tree mate.

These days I'm filling my kegs with Coopers Pilsner with Tettnanger hops

hahaha truth is I'll drink just about anything if it has alcohol in it...but I won't pay $45-$55 for 24 stubbies. Paying like $22 a keg now, far more reasonable when I go through 2 in about 10 days
