hi everyone I have recently taken up longboarding and am loving it but there are a few things I need to work out to really get into the longboard groove.

I have a pretty good good board and am finding paddling, catching and riding waves pretty easy but I am having some real problems with my facial hair. My beard has always been a bit thin and scraggly, I'm trying my best to grow it out but Im just not sure if I'll get it to that thick nicely rounded hipster heard that seems to be so crucial in long boarding. Should I just ditch the beard and go for the best moustache I can or should I persist?

also my hair is currently short/ normal length I am growing it out but I'm not sure if I should be aiming for a top knot or a man bun? What are the performance advantages of either style and how do you tie them so they don't come undone in the surf?

also I have picked up some floral collared shirts ( from the opshop of course)and these are great to surf in but the weather is really cooling down and I'm starting to freeze my butt off. I looked around town for one of those beaver tail wetsuit vests but I can't seem to find one, is it ok to longboard in a normal wetty??

a lot of questions I know but I really can't wait to get past this beginner stage and move to the more advanced things in long boarding like drinking decaf vegan soy lattes and shopping at second hand record stores

thanks YB

Sorry I actually forgot t to mention that I am a vegan. It's odd that I forgot to mention this as it's usually how I start all my sentences
