Yeah, really good stuff, nice to watch, and he started doing those turns at around 2:30 minutes mark, I can't do it, but I appreciate others being able to do them, I just don't know what to call them

Up until now, I been explaining then as a "cross step turn", but still no one understands what I mean

The clip was goodly

Yeah those step back turns are something I've only really done in the past 2 -3 surfs really (past 5 weeks), interesting to try. Certainly much hard to balance when turning with your front foot that is actually behind you hahaha

The short thing is actually the slab model. Pretty similar to the drifter, just slightly different dims and different fin set up. Pretty much a modified mini simmons.

Rather than a pin tail it's got a super wide tail like a mini simmons but can ride it as thruster or a quad.

I was riding it as a quad here from memory, this one was 5'8 x 22 x 2 3/4 but I am not 100%. Would have to check but I won't be home for a couple of weeks.

It's actually a really positive board to ride, like the waves in the video are a little flat but it surfs really well in those waves. But at the same time I have surfed it in 3-4 foot A frame barrels and it goes even better. Surprisingly you can really get it on the rail and bring it straight up for those vertical snaps and even get the fins to release relatively easily.

I'm not sure how the drifter rides but I would say it is really similar, except maybe with a lot more hold because of the pin tail which would be awesome in the bigger stuff, I am thinking I'll get one for summer.

TK.
