Gday all just picked up a new board traditional style log 9'5 24 3 1/8 now need a fin, just after recommendations for a fin type and who online is good to deal with as not many options locally, I have just temporarily put in the only spare fin i have from my 14' race 666 as i need to get it wet asap. In line with forum rules a few photos too.

Cheers

Nice looking Log mmHard, now I have Log envy.

I'll let others advise on the fin selection, but if you give Shapers a call at Currumbin, they will help out a reasonable price too.

Nice log. The fin looks OK. Just ride it as is. More pics would be good.

I've got that Fanatic fin in my shed and have kept it purposely for use in a Log when one arrives my way....embrace it, it'll be perfect for that board IMO - amazing board BTW - envy !

I used to wish I had a Log.

Now I just wish I knew how to surf!!

Speaking of Road Trips, how does the Noosa event rate as a weekend away. I have never been as I always though that why surf with every other longboarder in AUST. Especially the hot ones!

yep...there looks like there is a whole lot of edge in there...the only loggy thing about that board is the general plan shape

^^^ yep wolf in sheeps clothing.

very nice board mm

IMO boards like this are usually good to ride. Plenty of volume for paddling, wide stable nose and the edge in the back of them makes them turn

Daneli,I went up for a few days during this comp a few years ago, fantastic week with all the activities going on however the only way to get a wave was first and last light even then you had half an hour window but its worth the trip just for all the other stuff going on.

Speaking of road trips once we tick Byron this week off we are hitting Noosa next.

Captain fins are great.... but id never buy captain fins in Oz. They are ridiculously priced, delivered from the us is cheapest option, half the cost of buying here.

Thanks for the feedback, the board wasnt made for me but i loved it as soon as i saw it, dims are good for me and it fills a gap in the quiver not to mention a very good price i couldnt say no. I will give it a go with the fin thats in it and then see what happens from there.

Ted and Sharpie im sure you will see it in the flesh soon enough (didnt the van in the first shot give it away)

Cheers
