Hi all, just a short note to say what I think of my new second hand Redline I bought of Boof. I LOVE IT!!!! Another fantastic McTavish board, I shouldn't of had any doubts. Exactly what I like in a 10 footer, old and new mixed together. It will replace my retiring 10ft Shaun Dunn very nicely after nearly 30 years service. Here is some pics of my quiver,

Red and yellow 9'4 Bob Kirpatrick Ocean Blue
Clear with blue deck, white stripes 9'6 McTavish Fireball
Mustard with blue and yellow stripe deck 10' Shaun Dunn (Retired)
Red 10' Mctavish Redline

Nice work mate, but were you or are you a sup'er
How wide and thick is the redline,I have a 10 x 24 x 3something
sitting in my shed waiting for its rightful owner to collect he might
want to claim it soon because I have my eye on it

That would be 8 sales from breezer to breezer that I know

Hi Mac, I love both mal and sup but I am supless at the moment as I creased mine in the last big swell and I sold my 10ft McT sup to a mate. I am keen on getting a 11ft Simon Anderson when I have the funds. Yes the dimensions of the redline are 10 x 23 1/2 x 3 1/2 I think, It goes great in all sizes I have surfed so far and stable as to noseride and switchfoot. I am not a fan of 50/50 rails as they just don't work for me so the 60/40 set up is just right. I am not a traditional style mal rider but I do like to try and mix it up, I grew up surfing in the 70's so I am more Gerry Lopez/PT style of surfer, in stance only, not ability lol. Would love to surf in the malfunction one day for a hoot.

Nice quiver there Sepirott. I reckon you could easily survive on just the Fireball and Redline. No need for a SUP unless u are going surfing with Mac! - Mark

Thanks Mark, this is how I have it worked out. I use the fireball when it is over 6ft, the Ocean Blue any super suckey day (it goes great!) the 10ft any full day or small runners. The sup when I am in the mood or want to paddle way down the beach to avoid the crowds. I love supping but sometimes I get tired of the stinkeye and lugging it around on windy days. The wave count is unbelievable though and I like standing when we go out at first light as it is quite sharky down our way. I usually see a shark at least on average a dozen times a year. We do surf in a great white breeding ground.

Sepi,
we surfed at Stockton probably every second or third weekend in the 80,s early 90,s it always felt not quite right and always a bit more sharky than most places except the paddle across to the Box at Umina, then not long ago there was all that footage of blokes catching baby whites off the beach there and the mad farker paddling the bait out on a mal at dusk ( it wasnt you was it)

Hey Boof,
I love the Redline man, thanks. No that wasn't me taking those baits out, crazy hey. I do know the blokes that did it though, nuts. The mates I surf with all work at fisheries and boy do I hear some stories. One of them tags them as well. yet they all surf there. I pushed a nosey one away with my paddle in November (gave it a heart attack lol) and saw a total of 4 in December up close and personnel. Bloody baitfish bringing them in. I only see them at Birubi though, I have only seen one in 12 years at One Mile beach. The boys saw one two days ago at Birubi when they were on there sups and I was on my redline at first light, didn't I miss my sup right then!
