well this is going to upset a few.
i cant believe slater is in some breezers choices.
slater the best competitor ... yes, but best style... NO WAY.
technical surfing with great vision... YES.
better styled surfers before him... heaps i say
Showing my age here, Joey Cabell,Billy Hamilton(Matt Johnson) I loved watching Tom Curren, and Lynchy
Being a oldy i would say Tony Hinde and Wayne lynch , had a chance to surf some sesssions with one of them when i was just 14 these guys surfed like they were born in the water, sad that one is not with us now
Tom Curren's first wave at J-Bay - as told by Sonny Miller
Fluid power surfinghttp://surferspath.mpora.com/video/tom-currens-first-wave-at-jeffreys-bay-from-live-the-search-series.html
Nice find T-Dog - I recall that wave! Jeepers - how big is his board - today he would probably be riding something significantly shorter in equiv waves yet he just through that one round easily enough. You can really see where the Parko top turn came from in that clip.
Yep Ted the long rail line probably accentuates the style on his turns. I am from California but to prove I'm not biased - Buttons and Terrry Fitzgerald also deserve a mention! I am of the Dogtown & Z Boys generation though
MR MR MR MR MR MR MR MR MR. Tudor is smooth and centres his weight well over the board, as does Slater. Did I mention MR? Best ever and a top bloke.
