Is there a wave there?

I may be going for a holiday to the marine park resort with my daughter in a couple of weeks.

She wants to go to some place called Tangalooma marine park, she works as a reptile handle and shark feeder in an aquarium in Manly so she's into that sort of thing.

I thought I would drive up and just pick her up from the airport when I get there.

Can you drive a normal car on Morton?

Is there a car ferry or a bridge?

I know nothing about the place.

I just looked it up, looks to be a tad boring.

I'm not one for sitting around soaking up the atmosphere and I would not have a car handy to bugger off in.

I wonder if I could interest her in a few days at Byron?

Yes there are waves on Morton, and big sharkies Nice Island for a day or two max for me.
Go the Byron see you there for sure,she can go diving at Julian Rocks and play with all sorts of marine life and dad can surf the Pass or Wategos

yes i agree with mac, take his advise for your sake obct.

Don't tell my daughter it's sharky, she luvs em, spends all day working with them.

And anything else a bit nasty, she even lets 3 pythons have the run of her bedroom, her flat mates put their foot down when she told them she wanted to bring home a Tiger snake.

Even last weekend she went to Canberra for a break and ended up catching 2 x brown snakes and 3 x copper heads. I don't know what a Copper head is but I know the Brown snakes can be nasty.

She's been bitten more times than she can count but it's always by non venomous ones, I'm just worried that one day her luck will run out.

Mate the copper head is also a nasty snake

obct i would be more concerned of what is likely to be slipping into my bed,i'm not one for snakes.

thanks, but I probably didn't need to know that.

I think she said they don't mind a bit of cold weather.

That reminds me of something that really proved what a dumb dad I am.

About a year ago, she was talking about getting a snake and I remember a mate of mine once saying to me that a good snake to keep was a "Child's Python" so because I wanted to hold up my end of the conversation I said "you should get a child python because they're good as pets.

See sensed that I was talking out of my arse so she said to me "Dad, do you think they are called that because they're suitable for children"


I said, "aren't they?"

She said "No dad, they're named after the scientist who first described them, his surname was Children"

I said... "D'oh" .... and vowed never again to engage her in a conversation about any animal.
