S swell 5 – 6ft Mid North Coast south facing beaches, building to 6 - 10ft during the afternoon. WIND: WSW 15 to 25 knots tending SW early morning and SSW during the afternoon.

Saltwater Point -10' and off shore- I'll be the one watching from the headland.

Just ducked down and checked out the surf here on the north coast of Tassie , flat as with a southerly wind ripping through . Surf forecast reckons Thursday / Friday looing good for here

Some nice shots there SP. It was pretty chunky at home when I got back from the City tonight....too late for a surf n did not have the camera in the car so no photos sadly. It did not look that flash to be honest though. Too big for the beaches and two south for the reefs (or not big enough south to bend in at a decent size). I will get some pics tom.

Yeah the first few are actually at the entrance to the harbour, where they bring the coal ships in, the marker you can see are the channel marker and a wave buoy is the grey blob looking one, think it was supposedly about 3.5 -4 metres when I looked.

The ones there surfing are down the harbour and very protected in south swell, there is actually a lid barrllled on the wave shot.

Did you get any today Ted, was freezing this morning up here and in the 8 ft range, I had a coffee and watched some guys on a jetski do step offs. Hopefully tomorrow and the day after should be good.
