I'm 17 and 84kg but I've been riding longboards my whole life as thats just what everyone surfs at my local. I have a classic malibu special blend 9'3 and have had numerous locally shaped 'loggy' boards. I'm tired of big heavy boards and recently had a go of a mates old 8'1. I wanna get something in this 7'10-8'1 rangebut i dont know what. Ive looked at takayama scorpions, eggs and mctavish eightball's, fireballs and sumos but i am unsure on what to get???

Just recently got rid of this one: 9'4 x 23 x 3







and was leaning towards the likes of an eightball or sumo, not sure which one would suit waist-head height points and beachies better?

An 8Ball might be the answer coming down from a log, but why not talk to a local shaper or borrow one from a mate ? Local shapers know local surf and can give you + and - on different aspects etc...good luck.
