Mac the same type of person that would go on about shortboards in a mid length thread.

Horan didn't win cause he wasn't as good as MR.. On twins or singles...

It's Farkin simples...

The best surfers and footballers all come form one place...

And it aint , StGeorge, Bondi or QLD...

Even Penriff have won more surfing titles then the boys from Bondi..

SurfBroker???
Is it Geoff shaped ?
And what dimensions???
Looks like a good deal for the $$$

I personally find his style rank compared to MR's....still reckon he would of snatched at least one on a standard board or if he had of cut back to half an oz a day instead of a fully...

You'd know..you've had plenty of them

I've measured it and 7'1 1/2"..Surftech/Tuflite Nuggetts are a great board, especially if your travelling.

I really like the look of these. As I said originally I'm pretty new to longboards and mid length so I'm really undecided on size. I'm 90 kgs and could easily ride the smallest size. I'm tempted to get the 7'6 though. Is this going to feel hideously too big for this style of board ?

How thick is your LB?

To me 3 inches is a bit thick, but I'm a lightweight.
I usually get my mid length type boards pretty much the same thickness as my LB.

Maybe give them a call and have a chat, sure they would do one in the same shape but suit how and where you surf and also your weight. Most shapers love a chat..

To be honest they were both at their peak while I was still pooping in nappies, so probably not the best judge.

Never really saw Horan except for clips, have seen MR surf plenty and have to agree with you, heaps better style and even today is still as smooth as..

"You'd know..you've had plenty of them"

Only 3, one the same as the one you are selling. One the same as your red/blue one and the 7/6 you bought from me for your workmate....the rest have been glass apart from the 8/0 XF poxy I own now and ride in knee to waist high stuff.
"Surftech/Tuflite Nuggetts are a great board"...yes except like most light boards they get held back in strong offshores.

Sandsy, very similar to a Junior shaped nugget I have...same length and width but a 1/16th thinner

Hey SB, look familiar....?

I've got a beautiful 7'2" bonzer that has been ridden twice. You could easily run it with a nice flexy single fin without the bonzer sides.
Shaped by Matt Wilkerson who's from Hawaii but now on the Sunshine coast. He shapes Bertleman twinnies for Beachbeat surfboards as well as any other kind of board you'd like.

I am 93 kgs and this falls smack bang between my 7' fish thing and 8'. My boards are 21 1/2" and 22" respectively with 48 and 59 litres.

I would think that board would be fine for a bloke your size. My 8' is a gun/semi-gun shape rather than a pure mid-length outline, but it goes well down to 4'.

My "midlength" longboard shape is a 6'10" X 22 X 3 and 48 litres with a pintail. It surfs knee to triple head high waves (obviously not ledging barrels at that size) and is a very versatile board. From what I have read here of South Oz waves, the extra length wouldn't hurt at all.

A mate of mine surfs McCoys and I have found them very forgiving and remarkably HP when I have snaffled a ride. He reckons his 6'6" nugget will surf anything if he can paddle onto it. He also has a 7' nugget. They are a bit different to a McCoy midlength though.

If your fresh off your shorty, a board around 40LL should be heaps of volume for you. If your mainly surfing fuller waves then you don't want much rocker, but then if the "decent waves" you want to surf as well are suckier take offs are going to get critical the later your taking off. I reckon you really want 2 boards. Check out a 6'4 ECS Bulldog for your fuller waves & maybe something like a Hayden Shapes Hypto 6' for decent waves or a Firewire Hellfire 6'4.

Look at boards that are all round wider nose to tail,& have flat rocker. Single into double concave, generally going well as a quad.

I had the same problem 2 years ago. I rode a 6' Firewire Hellfire (which is still the best board I have ever ridden) but rode a longboard over summer. Unfortunately sold the hellfire just before winter coz I thought I'd never need it again. Sometimes you need that summer/small wave board, the board in between that your chasing at the moment & another board thats going to stick the late takeoff's, speedy sections & allow you to duck dive without getting obliterated.

I find it funny that of all the supporters out there that one who supports the Saints would be giving the Roosters a hard time after winning 3 straight minor premierships. Yes they are having a bad year for a change - but your lot normally do every year! Shall we take a look at recent history - as we know you like your 'facts'

2013 Roosters 40 Dragons 18
2014 Roosters 36 Dragons 26
2015 Roosters 40 Dragons 28

So it would seem that 28 is about the most you could really hope for and your long suffering fans will probably celebrate at what I would think is a pretty poor performance. Over the last 3 seasons they have scored 34 more points than your lot. Joy. I am not even a Roosters supporter. Now if we were to look at the points scored differential over the same period it might make you weep some more....Roosters had +836 PD to Dragons -183. Wow - thats like 1,019 points over 3 years ! I don't think you are really in any position to be giving it out just yet

come on guys back on topic.
