In Australia they haven't been available from Surftech for a couple of years but the company has been restructured and reorganised and I believe there will be new ones later in the year. There is always a chance you can score one second hand so good luck.

Cheers Bud, I don't care if its a second hand surf tech or a glass or that carbon stuff they're promoting..just looking to see if there are any knocking about in NZ?...or any other 11' or larger boards?...otherwise I may have to save for an expensive custom

Making one is a good option, there's just one catch, I have the 10.6 and I can tell you the dims are very unusual I'm not sure you could find a single blank that would do it

You may be able to get the width by gluing up 2 blanks [ the rails are very low for a LB], but the same thickness will be hard to find I think mine is over 4". Once you take the scab off a big blank, you're usually lucky to get 3 5/8" max.

Our man over here can manage it OB he gets the width with double stringers with high density foam in the middle thickness is not a problem my Electraglide is 3"3/4

I had the 10'6 as well. Good board and not bad in bigger waves either. Perfect for a bigger bloke surfing amongst crowds.

if he can get 3. 3/4 out of a blank, and kagey is anything under 100kg, then i reckon it will go close to replicating the same feel. The Ultra glide really does have a beautiful glide to it, and roller-coasters across a smooth face are just a magic feel.

It comes undone a bit when you need to turn, but hey! you've got to take the good with the bad

Looks like they only the 12 and the 11 now, that's unfortunate they don't make the 10'6" any more I thought that was the best.

I've tried the 12, you really need to make a big commitment to take one one. If only for the sake of carrying it down to the water to launch.

I'm a wee bit over weight at the moment, normally 90 kgs or so. I had a 12' Munoz several years ago I was 105 kgs or so then, I thought it was awesome and I kick myself for selling it! I reckon anything over 9' unless wafer thin..is similar work getting out. That Munoz caught everything and the rides were super long. I had a great session at Mangawhai one morning and was grinning like a Cheshire cat for most of that day..Got to get saving for a nice big board I reckon.

Here ya go simondo! I think this was the '08 Malfunction where they had a 12'0+ division. The Munoz 12'0 was my favourite go to all round board and like Kagey a board I wish I never sold! Would be great to see them back available in oz. Anyone know the pricing for the new surftech range?

When they were last here, the 10.6 was around $1500, but the 12 was around $1700.
