Hey hey cool Katz,

Anyone riding one of these?

Keen on a knee paddler but really want to train on my nose work. I know these are a sweet ride in trimming, turning and cruising but not sure about the nose ride.

Also considering the Redline or the Pinnacle.

Appreciate any advice/feedback before I bring a new baby home.

Cheers,

Mac's ya man on this one, his 10' cruiser hasn't seen the light of day since he got his pinnacle.

Up to 10'2" On the Pinnacle but an extra $500 odd, thinking might be worth it though

Ahh right, they are coming back to me tomorrow. happy to go under 10' though as long as she'll knee paddle and nose ride I'm happy.

love bobs boards though, my bobsled got me back into Surfing steeper beachies =)

AndyrooMac I've had 3 Cruisers,Toeball has just picked up his second great boards, but as Vanders said since me Pinnacle came home the Cruiser has been racked. The Cruiser has too much nose lift to ride it on the nose imo,its a great board for trim and turn for a 10 footer however the Pinnacle is the board your chasing,it tickets all your boxes. As weiry said Dave is the guy to talk too.Welcome mate!

Weiry, you have a sound knowledge of the mctavish range, whats the go mateI don't think the Pinnacle would suit 10 foot length because of the rocker I believe this is why a Redline is suited better in this length.

BTW,I'm not trading any boards in so the new quiver will be

Cruiser 10.0
Pinnacle 9.6
Evo2 9.6
Evo2 9.3 new rocker
Splice take 2, 9.6

i think the pinnacle is a very straight shape. IMO if you stretch that shape to much it will look like a paddle pop stick.

good point on the rocker mac.

Haha, thanks guys, LOVING the banter on this sight...

still anxiously waiting for them to come back to me, i'm thinking they might look at sticking 9'6" and just making it that bit thicker 3-3 1/8. would be easier if i dropped a few kg's and the Tassie water would heat up so you didn't need so much rubber...

anyway, cant wait, haven't bought a new baby home for awhile now and would have been perfect last week when my local lit up... and when i say local I mean the beach is 20m from my back porch and the point was shoulder high glassy peelers "sigh" but i'll have her for the next one =)

Here's a short vid of the next point along: www.facebook.com/StugibsonPhotography/videos/630261650384807/

No knee paddling for me mate, why buy a board so you can knee paddle, you'll just look like Lacey he loves being on his knees

My Pinnacle in the centre is 906 x 23 x 3 1/8 110 kgs dry

Haha, no, i'm none of those guys fo shiz...

thats Mays Point, very much the performance point. Mine's Lauderdale, less hollow more wall so better on the log, though there's two barrel sections on the low tide.

Thats a dang sweet quiver...

my go to is a Robbie August "what i ride" 9'6". she's dinged up but she's a beaut, so fast down the line. Wanting the knee paddler for real small days, for paddling fitness on flat days and to take my lil girl out next summer and get her stoked

I would suggest a good looking lawn means not enough time in the water... fortunately my wife flies on those same line "if the house is too tidy we're not having enough fun" pretty dang hard to find em like that though

So here is where we're at...

i'm thinking i'll order the pinnacle... thoughts:

" Hi Andrew,

Sorry mate but Greg is off today, back tomorrow.

Having said that and looking over you correspondence, I would recommend both the Pinnacle and the Redline at 9'6" x 23" x 3 1/8"
I've gone a little thicker so that the knee paddle will no be a problem, especially with the extra rubber.

Cost for both with a single colour resin tint and triple stringer is $1865.

Let me know your thoughts Andrew.

Regards,

Dave English - Retail Manager "
