Welcome back, the Razor was the best high performance board in the Mc stable many a comp won one on one of those boards by the pros.

Great board for the light weight guy coming from a shortboard background imo or a good longboarder in punchy conditions, best run with a thruster set up or 6 to 7 in centre fin, they have a flatter rocker than the newer Mc hp boards like the UFO.

Get a copy of the McTavish movie titled Moving On,you will see Dave Simons ripping on one it was his go to board.

Hope this is of some help.

Mate a super light weight can nose ride anything imo, however the razor is not a nose rider board, check the video out Dave can nose ride but he is one amazing surfer.

Mac & others,
There's really at least 2 different styles of nose riding.
1) Hang Ten - all ten toes on the nose, on a genuine nose rider style board, flat rocker.
2) Cheater Five Style Nose Riding & riding up near the nose.

The 2nd "type" of nose riding, whilst technically not "nose riding" in true competition definition... but it is still fun!!

My point being, that the 'Razor' and many other High Performance ("Hy-Perform/Hyper-form") boards are quite capable of "Type 2" Nose Riding !!
