Hey guys, a tuff lite McTavish Original board came up on gum tree, it's a 9'1 x 22 1/2 x 3.

Is this a good all arounder?. I surf beach breaks 1-2 foot. I weight 80kgs, is it too thick?

Help please.....

Pending where your at with your surfing,it could be too thick for 80 kegs.

Your going to paddle into a heap of waves on it tho which increases the
fun and will shorten the learning curb.

IMHO it is not too thick as you will need a bit of float with a board thats as heavily rockered as a tuflite original. The board isnt going to excite you in 1-2 ft waves either - when its 3ft plus its really going to start doing its thing.
Very very capable board in good waves, but frustratingly slow in small or very fat surf. (IMO)

So less rocker is what you want in smaller fatter waves ? The whole rocker thing confuses me. Where I usually surf is smaller and fatter.

Correct mate less rocker for small fat days is your friend.Give that guntree board a miss.

That would take while to answer mate,log,all rounder or hp.

I had the hp ufo model made with the evo2 rocker fits where I surf.
the fireball square and pintails have different rockers btw.

THE nose rider,redline have flatter rockers but both single fins.

I think a 10 footer may be a bit long as what I surf now is an 8'2

I have only ever surfed a single fin so I dont think it would be a prob Mac.

Mac, didnt you hate your redline ??

Hated the last one mate the 3 before were good,I just stuffed up the dim's on the last one.

Sandsy he does but Vanders said he knew a guy who may want to sell his 10 footer.

Just sussing it out right now, maybe a wedding present to myself!!
