A few of the GC would have seen this guy around in fact this type of guy lives everywhere you surf.
Roll back twelve months or so,on a very busy beach day I snagged the last carpark and the vibe killer
was also on the hunt for a park,he saw me snag the park then went off his nut at me why because I
beat him to it.This guy paddles out every weekend,sure he lives there but thinks he owns the joint.
Paddles straight out and sits on the inside and takes what he wants,without any care in the world about
who has been waiting.He has been named THE VIBE KILLER by many not me I'm just a sheep.
Anyway over the course of a few months I've been saying HI and of late we are now having conversations.
He is a good bloke and not a bad surfer,anyway its got to the point that he is calling me into waves instead
of stealing them from me,he still takes his waves but he allowing me to have what I what.I've also hooked up
with another guy who is a good surfer and has always shown respect in the lineup,he we drop in on each other
and always thanks eachother for sharing have a smile and thumbs up.

I guess what I'm saying is,we all have a Vibe Killer,have you tried to befriend this guy or do you just tell him to fk
off under your breath?as I was doing!

Give it ago and see what happens it sure has worked for me.

I posted and got hammered by reds for making a comment on 3 of us controlling the lineup,well the two mentioned above are the ones I was referring too,did we make pigs of ourselves,yes we scored all the set waves,did we let a few
go by,we sure did,but we got the best ones on the day!

I don't tell the vibe killer to **** off under my breath I tell him to his face...our guy paddles around mutter like some nutter so I just treat unload on him everytime he tries to paddle up the inside...if you don't respect the line up you don't get respect!!

We don't have vibe killers around these parts......most of the blokes I surf with at first light are good blokes who love a chin wag. On the weekends you occasionally get a few younger punks who think they own it but not very often. They soon get told. Lots of the younger blokes have grown up surfing with their dads so they know the rules. I saw one father tell his son off for poor behaviour in the water and told him if he did that again he would be out of the water for a few weeks - he is a great kid to surf with now. There is one bloke who can be a vibe killer - the kind who will drop in on someone then paddle out talking to them like he is their mate, or will sit there chatting to them and as a wave comes in quickly snake them for the inside.....seriously what a goose.

Cant you see whats happening here Mac ? You too have become a vibe killer I guess anyone that takes advantage of oversized equipment to dominate is seen as a vibe killer. The longboarding and 666 sections should be renamed the vibe killers.

I hate vibe killers. Managed to get a late surf in this evening as I as getting out this frothing young grommie came firing down the sand asking me how it was....he was so excited. I reckon he had 25 mins before prime shark feeding time....he was the opposite of a vibe killer......It felt great seeing how fired up and excited he was. Down with the VK's I say and on with the frothers
