For those that didn't attend last years inaugrual event the Maili Masters Longboard Rally is for the crusty old surfer who wants to share a few waves, maybe a story or two over a lot of cold beer and to reminisce about some surfing history with a mate or two. This year to keep the stories pure we have added a Wahine division as well. To be contested at Rainbow Bay on the 5th & 6th December the competition is conducted on a round robin format with all surfers having 3 surfs. Its an excuse to get together. There are no sheepstations up for grabs.
Many of the starters in the inaugrual comp last year had never competed before. Many more old surfers came out of the woodwork, some surfed, some hung out and caught up with mates they hadn't seen for years.
Age divisions are womens O'40 then Open O45's, 50's, 55's, 60's & 65's
Monies raised by the Table of Knowledge Boardriders goes to "Kids with Cancer"
