Best surf of the summer so far in this part of the world .

I am out surfing a nice little point break and 2 blokes who are obviously a couple of gay tourists are bodysurfing inside of me half way to the beach .

Anyway I catch the wave of the. Day gliding nicely along the wave face thinking how nice is this

I look down and a head pops up beside me . This prick bodysurfing has dropped in on me
Not that I am homophobic but I am thinking should I give this prick a tap on the head with the board or not . Lucky for him my nice side came out and I cut back away from him .
To make it worse I am sure he had no idea how close his head was to the nose of my board .About 10 c.m. . Dont even think he knew I was there on the wave .

So did they pull back when they spotted you Chrispy or just keep coming .

What really annoyed me with these 2 , this is a flagged beach with the flagged area 20 meters from where they were . They were in bodysurfing between about 10 surfboards yet if they were hit guess who would have copped the blame .

natural instinct is a yes mate (get around idiot , pull etc )..... and personally if I see someone else already up , I pull out , the gashes I've seen tell me to

I like seeing everyone going for one wave in a set too .... sit back & have the next one pretty clean

Yep same here Pup .Surfboard gashes aren't pretty

Besides bit blood in the water and a few sharks might have come sniffing ,

But geez it was tempting to give him a ltlle tap on the head with the nose of the board

come on tassie we have heard what they do to gay folk up there in penguin !

No room for gay developer in Penguin's property parade

PLANS to make a small Tasmanian town "the Noosa of the South" are on hold after the man behind the project decided to sell up his properties and leave the Apple Isle.

Property developer Stephen Roche had plans to transform the spectacular but ramshackle town of Penguin, on Tasmania's north-west coast, into an exclusive holiday spot.

But his development dreams were soured last year after he was subject to death threats and a mail campaign that urged residents to say no to an "influx of gay Sydney men" and to "think of their children".

Mr Roche had a dead wallaby nailed to the door of one of his properties and his partner, Keith Westerby, left Penguin shortly after the campaign to take up a job in the Middle East.

A year later, Mr Roche has decided to sell his 10 residential, commercial and retail properties, which comprise 80% of the land area of the Penguin central business district.

All true river rider , not sure if it was a good or bad thing that they blocked his development but the fact that he was (1) openly gay and (2) not from Tasmania certainly played a big part in it .
This area is what the call the bible belt of Tasmania after all .so not a good place to be openly gay .

But for myself mate I have gay clients , friends , workmates , neighbors , so really no big deal what they get up to in their bedroom , so long as they don't drop in on my waves
