Hi everyone,

I'm a 20 years old guy looking for a longboard. Now, I'm a total beginner. Never rode one before. I already searched some infos/guides how to choose one and I can't decide between a short Cruiser 33" with a kicktail and a normal pintail 41" which also has a raised tail. Longboard stuff is very limited here in this country and these two are the best I found here.

-What type of riding you plan on doing
Primarily relaxing cruising in my free time after work/drawing/playing around my town (Prague) which has a lot of traffic (cars, trams, buses), a lot of people, some streets have floor stones and it's generally very varied. If you've been here, you know what I'm talking about. Although when you get out of city centre It's less traffic-y but hilly. I know for this it would be better to have a short cruiser but problem is I also - sometimes - want to ride on bicycle/roller-skate tracks and in parks, where I can just cruise and play around (boardwalking and stuff like that, no flips/jumping tricks). There are also a few "gentle" hills around my place.

-Length Specifications
As I said, it's 33" vs 41".

-Width Specifications
Short cruiser is 9,8" wide and the longer one is 9.875".

-Height, Weight
I'm 69.6" high (177 cm) and I'm very skinny.

If anyone could help me choose, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for any help.

This forum is for longboard surfboards.

However, go the 33 without a kick tail. If you have some money to spend, then a Roe Racing Mermaid or Triton with Don't Trip poppy trucks would be ideal. The subsonic pulse is also a goody with similar trucks. These boards cruise really nicely while letting you pump on the flats. I have a subsonic gbomb illuminati. The Don't Trip trucks are just awesome.

Get on silverfish longboard ing and get really confused.
