Sorry, another one slightly off topic....

Someone posted a link to some really nicely crafted longboard skateboards. But I can't find the link / post.

Chrispy, it wasn't you either, RE: Honey Skateboards.

I don't think it was him either. He's Melbourne based The boards were from Sydney I think. A boat builder turning his craft to Longboard Skateboards.

Nobody replied to the topic. Maybe someone reported it, and it was deleted?

Rear suspension for you Mac !! But you won't get that a Cruiser. Cheapest option is your daughters cruiser for next months trip! I mean that with sincerity !

The Felt is a great bike but it tends to hurt my back after an hour, the cruise has lower sitting with higher bars which gives me no pain.

Mac, you might need a bike fit. An MTB should not be uncomfortable. What size is it.

Bike fitting is a good idea. Specialized fitted their bike to suit me, and it felt 20% more comfortable and 10% quicker than anything I'd ridden previously.

It took maybe 30-45 minutes.
- 5+ minutes warm up
- 3 minutes of him watching me on the bike
- 3 minutes off the bike for first adjustments
- 2 minutes taking measurements
- 3 minutes riding, watching again
- 3 minutes of adjustments
- process continues....

I was impressed! This sort of tweaking could take 3 months to 2 years between you & your shaper (for surfboards), and 5 board later.... you're still going!

Those little colourful skateboards are a mere fad, and a toy. Will do the job for basic Skate Transport, but will be slower, less stable, and even not as safe because you have less control.... plus your feet are so close together which will only help the skateboard "trip" on stones.

It takes a fair bit more than that to "trip" a big longboard cruiser!

She's a great poker too!
They airbrushed her face for this photo, but the other assets are genuine!

I take it that you are talking about bearings, are the ceramic 100% ceramic or just coated?

I have Swiss Bones. Pretty good bearings. I get a few comments from the kids on their $25 K-Mart Boards. I let them have a ride. Main comments are "smooth", "fast", "quiet".

ok, ### surfers spend most of their time in a standing position on a board.

wouldn't you blokes be better lying face down dragging your knuckles along the ground on one of these beauties .

this the short board version, they also have a nine footer

Mate we can ride anything, that means we don't need a broom for balance.

i like my paddle, makes feel and look like one of those awkward tight rope walkers, turn something thats easy into something that looks kooky and uncomfortable just to let people think it is more difficult than it is
