Recently dug the old short board out for the 1st time in a longtime .

Started great picked it up one handed , threw it on the front seat of the car thinking how good is this no throwing boards on the roof and wasting time tying them down .How much fun is this going to be . Got to the beach again going great not getting tossed around by the wind lugging the board to the water .

Hit the water things went downhill pretty quick , paddling out was like paddling on an old sponge compared to the Nimbus . Surfed for 2 hours , why so long ? Couldn't catch a decent wave and there was no way I was coming in till I got at least one .

Anyway the board is back hanging on the wall . I reckon that is where it is going to stay until the kids get on it . my days of riding short boards are done .

You could get yourself a mid length or a blown up short board . RG would give you a good idea. It's good to mix it up a bit because you could end up becoming a bit stale riding just one board.

+1 ALWAYS mix it up.
Try some moves on your shorty and then try the same moves on your LB.
LB's - Fish - SB's its all good.
Only thing is after surfing a LB for a bit your first surf on your SB will make it feel like its a foot shorter than what it actually is

I would just steal your son's board and go from there - that thing looks lovely! I think there is nothing wrong with having a bit of foam under the tank these days

Haha , all true ,

Still won't let me near his egg Ted .it does go pretty good in the surf . Might have to sneak it out one day .

Think the true problem is I am getting spoilt on the Nimbus .
You are right Pup and SMH And Locky the mid length and egg boards are probably the go for me as a short board now that I am no longer a teenager
