Dedicated to Mac & Lacey!

Which fin do you like & why?

I like the True Ames L-Flex B. B is for Extra Base / Drive on the Points that I like to surf.

www.trueames.com/products/l-flex-surf-fin (9B for me).

after a few years of farting around with fins, reading everything I could, buying fins, swapping and changing fins even making fins, I've finally come to the conclusion that, for a very average Joe like me, more poo poo has been written and spoken about longboard fins, than any other single subject in all of Christendom, and a few of the infidel places are well.

Having said that, my favorites are cutaways and the smallest ones possible and always as a single.

Why? because I can paddle on to more waves with a single fin, especially if it has a small surface area. Plus they feel like they are giving me more speed down the line.

That fact that they may not be able to turn so good does not matter a great deal to me because I don't turn so good either so that makes us even

It would go crap! GXQ sides? Add a GX Centre, and you will be way under finned!

Hey Chrispy, for something different why not try the MR-TX fin setup or similar. Thats where you have very large side fins and a small (GL/GX) size centre fin. Gives you heaps of drive and manouvreability and a few of the local pro's are using this setup in their longboards too. Anyway, we have a demo set for you to try if you are interested. - Mark
PS Agree with Simondo that GX's all round would be way too loose unless it was for your lad in small surf!

I use custom wizfins - in a special performance noserider template - 7inch on sups and 7 5/8 on longbards over 9'3 with Gx sides and a 6 1/2 with M3s on 9fters.

Where do you guys all surf this weekend?

Bells & Winki had plenty of waves on offer. Not perfect winds, but there were heaps of waves available.

For me, Winki yesterday, and Bells today.
