after a few years of farting around with fins, reading everything I could, buying fins, swapping and changing fins even making fins, I've finally come to the conclusion that, for a very average Joe like me, more poo poo has been written and spoken about longboard fins, than any other single subject in all of Christendom, and a few of the infidel places are well.
Having said that, my favorites are cutaways and the smallest ones possible and always as a single.
Why? because I can paddle on to more waves with a single fin, especially if it has a small surface area. Plus they feel like they are giving me more speed down the line.
That fact that they may not be able to turn so good does not matter a great deal to me because I don't turn so good either
