I've managed to schedule a work trip for next week to Melbourne and coincidently Bells just happens to be on.......

But what do ya know, looks like there'll be a shortage of waves and probably lay days , here's hoping it isn't the case.

Good run down here Vanders - but it looks poor as you point out - will certainly not be 1981 conditions. Hope you get a chance to see it though. Just be warned parking is a bloody nightmare down that way at the best of times and come Bells you really need some walking shoes on yr feet and a big bloody jacket - esp if you from Queensland

Tis a good spot to surf...and its not even fooking cold at the moment ya big northern Nancy's....everyone reckons the waves a bit fat but on a low tide with a good swell when your doing turn number eleventy hundred you will be loving it

When it's half good you can actually practice different styles of cut backs, practice different lines on take-off and through the bottom turn... When it's really good, you can actually get barreled! ... Did someone say something about 'big open face turns'!? !!
