Hello everyone, The Lennox Head Surfboard Swap Meet presented by Boat Channel Boardracks in conjunction with LE-BA Boardriders will take place on June 6th 2015 during the Love Lennox Festival. The #LennoxBoardSwap is sponsored by Lennox Longboarders and the Lennox Head All Girls Boardriders. This event is organized to provide regional surfers and surfboard collectors an outlet to buy / sell / trade of surfboards (and some grommie wetsuits) as well as network with the broader surfing community. An area on the fore-shore near the intersection of Ballina St. and Byron Street has been secured as the location. Since Ballina Street will be closed between Byron Street and Park Lane for the Festival, all sponsors will have festival stall locations along the area next to the #LennoxBoardSwap to engage with the community. We are excited to see what collectable boards may turn up and are asking potential participants to dig deep into those garages and storage sheds. We will have prizes for: · Best Pre-60’s Board · Best 60’s Board · Best 70’s Single Fin · Best 70’s Twinny · Best 80’s Thruster · Best Kneeboard To be judged by members of the various Boardriders groups present on the day. Conditions of entering boards to the swap meet are: Registration with sellers details10% of sale goes to fundraisingGold Coin donation per board entry at the Swap MeetLimit of 10 board entries to the Swap Meet per person (No junk boards please!) Funds raised at this event will be donated to: The Disabled Surfers Association of Australia (DSAA) and the local Junior Surf Development Program There will also be a raffle for a few various vintage surfboards which have been donated to the event. Wow I thought it was next weekend. A guy we surf with,super nice bloke(I will give him a plug) dingo surf repairs and his board label is rocket ace). Does some super weird shapes,asymmetrical, beautiful minis,some.great midlengths all.with some bio epoxy. Dolphin friendly I am told if anyone is down there go say hello and give his sled a rub and a feel
