"But the reality is, we've spoken with him and he can't remember a thing, which is no excuse,"
Always the way lately, it seems that anyone can get away with... "but he can't remember a thing" ... maybe some more responsibility in the first instance would have been the GO ...from all parties involved.
This is not the worse one I ever heard of I remembered one from about 15 years ago involving some highfalutin business man taking a dump on a first class flight.
It's so notorious, it was dead easy to find again, see below.
As I recall the rest of the story describes how when de was done laying cable on the food trolly, he pick up a fresh napkin off the trolly and gave himself a good wipe.
Well I guess you'd never use a dirty napkin for a job like that?
...."While unpleasant, the incident is a long way from the worst to have happened in the air. Apart from drunken fighting and brawling, the world record for airborne grossness, if there is such a thing, was set in 1996 by New York investment banker Gerard Finneran.
Finneran screamed obscenities and yelled repeatedly for more alcohol while flying first class on United Airlines from Buenos Aires to New York. Finally, after threatening a flight attendant with violence when no alcohol arrived, Finneran demonstrated his displeasure by leaping from his seat and defecating on a first-class food trolley.
