Thanks for all the good times Australia. We have had a great time here but it's time to move on. From tomorrow we will be living our next dream in Indo. Lived there for 3 years when I went to Uni in 81-84 as I didn't want to live in Brisbane to go to Uni.
Wild place back then.

Keep posting on here and post up pics of good wave as well.
Might get me motivated enough to go back there after a 20 year hiatus.
On a serious note, always, always remember you have no rights there (and I'm not talking surfing) and so tread lightly and cross the T's and dot the I's.
I lived in Thailand for over a decade and ran small group adventure tours throughout South East Asia the whole time and you've always got to be on the ball no matter how casual you think you can be.
Where are you going to be based?

So if I have this right TEDSTER, you move over here from Kiwiland, get a job, surf our waves and a have a general good old time.

Then when you think you have seen all there is you pack up and move to Bali and surf better waves, more of the time and live some sort of exotic lifestyle.

Bloody hell Ted, I am insanely jealous. lucky bastard.

Thanks fellas - it's been a 3.5 year mission to make it happen. Taken more time than we wished but that's the way life goes sometimes.

LL - fibre at the house in many locations. It puts the NBN to shame rest assured we will have a good connection as otherwise I will not be able to do my work.
Mac - yes indeed. Will be great to catch up and get a wave or three or maybe some Bintangs as well. Shock horror!
Pup - more mangos than you can shake a stick at over that way - can not wait to feast on them!
Asea - its not the farm but its close. At the very least we will end up living some sort of dream.
Cobra - NRL is not my game - rugby will always be the first love. Go the Chiefs Manly will do better than you expect. Probably better than Souths
CF - Bondi is still a hole. Not sure why everyone rates it so highly. Give me Manly any day. If you had brought a small apartment there when you were doing your Uni you could probably retire now easily In terms of location - we have a few ideas - we had previously agreed to buy a place in Bali in Sept last year but it feel through just before Christmas. Too hard trying to sort stuff out from here. So we head over pretty open minded about where we will end up. As long as I can commute back for work when required in a day and have a good internet connection we will be happy. The plan is to go east - go east of Lombok - to some of my fav islands.
ET - close but we went to the UK before coming here Water is cold there. Its warmer in Oz but you still need a wettie in winter so its time to move on
