G'day guys, I've been talking to Ron Goddard about a new board & was wondering if any of you guys that have one could comment on how they go. They sure look good & I'm sure they'd go well but noting like hearing from someone who's got one. I've never ridden a board with chines, any comment greatly appreciated. Thanks
I am no expert on board shape and design , but from what I understand the Chine rail is basically a 50/50 rail when combined with a concave bottom gives you speed without loss of control .
My nimbus is the yellow one in the September 2012 Goddard blog . Have had it out in everything from 6 foot beach breaks to 2 foot point breaks . Great board . Easy to use , turns easily , and creates some real speed in the bigger stuff .it's the only board I use these days .Though I have got a SUP on the way

Only regret with the board is I would love to have a go on some of Rons other boards like the islander , rice burner , thunder and compare them to the nimbus but Coffs Harbour is too far to do a weekend run

The Goddard boards are made to last both mine and my kids free range egg have copped a flogging and are both still going strong .
