Thanks Ted, I hadn't seen this before.

What a lesson in life that is. I think we could all take something from that.

Well done Ted.

It's a philosophy we try to promote to many in the world of mental health.

There are many fears, but that is all they are.

There are no dinosaurs trying to eat you.

Fear is an emotion. It can't hurt you.

Deal with what's in front of you, the rest will take care of itself.

easier said than done...the brain when its not your friend is a horrible enemy it may not be dinosaurs ,but it can certainly hurt you. i think that why at times i have issues with so called educated health professionals...dont get me started on the semi quasi experts

the vid itself was a great watch

Big surf frightens the ferk out of me.

It's real.

The point is that emotions are not.

What Dave Kalama was getting at is that he was back into it, but was still experiencing the fear of a past event. It just took a while to get over it, and he was able to. That's what makes him extraordinary. Some people don't have that skill.

As a so called health professional, my masters degree takes second place to my nearly 40 years experience in the field, but neither score nearly as well as the pleasure and happiness expressed by those who we have helped.
