Not sure if this is the best way to end the story. It may reflect more on my state of mind or just wanting to have an ending.
I would really like some feedback please.

Hypo had a few good years after his epic swim episode. He got to tell the story over and over to anyone who would listen.
As time passed though, he drifted away from the beach area again.
Aunty had passed on and he had sold most of his possessions to pay bills and to live on.
He only had hung onto an old wetsuit and his leg rope and a block of wax, which he had stored at Jockeys place.
Now he was living in a boarding house not far from where he grew up. He gained some comfort from the memories of his old suburb.
He was OK, but he wasn't surfing. He hadn't spoken to Jockey in a while.
For the last month he kept having this recurring dream. He'd be out in the water, but there were no waves, and no one around. In the dream this dolphin would appear beside him. Just float beside him calmly, and they would just sit there together.
He would have the dream about once a week. It didn't bother him, as it was pleasant.
One evening he and a few of the other guys went up to the north shore, as it was clean up week. One guy had a borrowed truck and it was a great night for picking up goods that could be used or resold.
On this occasion Hypo found a not so old surfboard. 'This will do me', he thought.
He decided that night on his return to go out to the surf the next day, it always cheered him up.
He set his alarm for the early train and went to sleep content in his plan. He was looking forward to seeing Jockey and the new crew.
That night as he slept, he again dreamed of the dolphin. He was sitting on his board and again it came and floated passively beside him. Now though every now and then, it would move away and stop and return. So the next time as it moved away, Hypo paddled after it until they were both moving out to sea.
The sun was coming up and as it did it blinded Hypo, but he still just paddled along cheerfully with his new friend. The brightness of the sun just seemed to overwhelm the scene and Hypo just felt really light and happy.
Next day, Jockey had just come in from his morning surf when he received a phone call.
It was the Police, regarding Hypo.
Jockey sat down as he took the call.
He hung up, then walked to the veranda and overlooked the beach scene.
Hypo had passed away through the night. The Police wanted Jockey to pick up his things.
They held a dance and a paddle out in Hypo's honor. Jockey kept the board Hypo had found, and a few of his things, in his garage.
Jockey hoped in some way that Hypo and Jimmy were reunited.
I think he would be pleased to know that they were together again doing what they loved most.
