Devon Howard rides one in this clip (after a wave or two on an LB). I saw a 7ft er in a shop not long ago. Was looking at the shortboards but kept getting drawn back to the Howard. Might go back and haggle. It was a beautiful thing, with a proper glass job.... "Built to last" the bloke said. (I guess that means all those clear light-weight things are built to fall apart ) After watching this, I might go back for another look....

I can tell you now, McHenry: I'd surf it exactly like Devon Howard, except with a bit more whip off the top.

Damn you blokes... i might have to go back to look at the 7fter i saw last week and see if it's still in the shop. Here's some google pics of some Howard Minis... There's a nice shot of the rocker line. Looks good to me.

That's almost worth a thread of it's own... How much are you prepared to bay for a beautiful finished board with all the bells whistles? ...actually it may have been done.
The Howards are up around the $1400 mark, i think. But when i was looking the dude in the shop was super ready to deal, which would help.

Wise words those, Cobra
I think if i was really sure it was what i was after, I'd have it already. The current gap in my quiver is for a shortie or mid for the local beachies which are often less than perfect. Was close to grabbing an MR when the Howard caught my eye. Might hold off and hope "The Magic Board That I Rip On and That Makes Me Want to Go Surfing Even in Crappy Waves" appears. I might be dreamin'.

McHenry -- I know your plan: Talk me in to it, wait six months, and offer me $500 for it. Genius!

Would be my.plan if it was a 7.6ish but 7.0 is too short for this average at best surfer
