How often is that?
Thanks for posting.
yeah that is the funnest, cleanest I have ever seen it. Only been there are a handful of times but its mostly looked windy, shifty and sizely. That footage makes it look like a lot of fun.
Good clip....I remember busting a nut to get down there on the weekend when we were at school....come over the hill on Saturday mornings and seeing it very large...no car to get anywhere else so psyching oursleves up for a go out and just eating ****....would have loved it to have been like the clip a bit more often....I still have the scar on my leg from one of those trips 24 years later
Yep. The pros make it look easy, but for us mere mortals it can be a heavy and testing beast. One of the most foolish things I've done surfing was paddling out at Margies after a friends buck night. Hideously hungover with three pukes between Margaret River and Prev. Somehow I thought a 5'10" twin fin (first surf on a new board, hence the keenness) would be a good idea at 6-8' Margies. Even sitting way down the line, I didn't make a drop and just got obliterated. One particular ocean liner coming at me sideways still sticks in my head 16 years later.
Aaaah...good times.
And yes, I don't think Margies is a HP Shorty sort of wave. A bit of rail goes a long way out there.
