He probably never shaped one and probably didn't even love Longboards that much, in fact he even gave me stick about being on a 666 out at the local one day, but the guy was a legend. 60+ and fitter than me or you.

He almost carked it a few years back from a heart issue, I remember him telling me that "you know they reckon I have been on 40% for a few years but I've felt great. Imagine now I'm back to 100% i'm unstoppable....." Then he went and tow surfed 30 foot waves in Hawaii for his 60th birthday.

You'd see him in the surf or buying the paper and milk. Always happy, always friendly. Stoked on life...

Stoked.com,
Nicely put together.
Off subject: I got a pair of Vans for Fathers Day from the Mrs and kids.
Apparently, these are the 'in' shoes to wear these days.
My 11 year old daughter says I am a trendy Dad now.
Truth is, I have never heard of the brand.
Which means I am so out of touch with fashion.
At least I can ditch the Dunlop Volleys now.

Yeah funny the vans thing. I got a pair when I was into skating at around 12-14. Wore them pretty much for the last 20 years as a staple shoe. Even been bagged my missus and her mates for living in the past... Now they're cool again.. Go figure, they always were. I went to the US a couple of times this year, $30 a pair over there. The t-shirt was $30 for 3 shirts. A bit cheaper over there.

Great post CNC - thanks for sharing.

Scotty - Vans are so old school - I don't think I have owned a pair for 10 yrs or so - maybe they are back in fashion

Rhetorical question BTW.
