Quick shout out to the lads who helped my mad Mal riding mate last swell approx. 8 days ago at TEA TREE. Apparently, got drilled on take off. Helper found him face down and bobbing , got help and took him in , no mean feat at this location. Much appreciated you legends hope you have long lasting good karma. Mate is fine with a sore neck. Any one know who the helpers where pls spread the kind word.

Thats a great ending to what might have been a terrible incident. Glad your mate is recovering well. Good to see those Queenslander's helping out for a change (or perhaps they were from other States on holiday)

Unfortunately a surfer lost his life on the Northern Beaches on Monday arvo - suspected cardiac arrest - a shame he did not have anyone close by like your mate did when he became unstuck. Everyone should keep an eye out for other surfers in the water at all times. We rescued a guy a few months back who had a fit in the water - was very very scary. I enrolled in a first aid refresher course the next day as I felt like it was the least I could do.

Yeah only heard a couple of stories from around town.

Dont know any facts apart from the guy was helped and is OK. apparently take off was steep, not sure though.
