Ted the Kiwi said..Looked like you had far too much board under ya in Japan for a man of yr ability

What model FW did ya have in Thailand? Its great fun being on holiday - any wave is a good one when you are not at work. Thanks for the post - lots of effort required to post those - great job. Who was the lucky camera person ? They had a nice steady hand.
Cheers mate...I didn't have much in the way of options for boards in Ikumi, it was either huge learner boards with massive boxy rails or that fishy 6'4 yellow board which would be a great summer slop board if it had a step...the FW's an old beat up Dom showing its age with a release valve & previously snapped. But a great board for those conditions. I'll pick up a 6'2 Spitfire one of these days, basically same shape but with some sting in the rail.
My wife filmed 1 of 2 days in Japan & 2 of 8 days in Kata. Kata had some much better days than what was captured, but it was raining & there was no one else down the beach even though I was sweating in the water lol...I appreciate her heaps for filming & she's improved alot with reading waves too
