No way I would party wave on an Almond, have you seen how much they cost? there's a shop down at Manly who import them along with Bing.

I would have difficulty not crying if a dinged one.

I've never heard of them but they look like nice boards. Logs are pretty expensive. There's usually a bit of tint and pigment work on them and plenty of resin and polishing. Clear volane over a nice thick cedar stringer can look good as well. Nice clip .

I've seen about 3 very big logs, all with glass on fins and none of them were under $2K.

And all of them had beautiful resin tints.

I used to pop in there often but the boards are way out of my league and they don't have any that would have enough volume for me, they all suit really high performance riders and you see a lot of guys down at Manly really ripping on them, not so much the Almond, more the Bings they import.

By the time I had a custom order done in my size and imported, I would be up for a lot of money, Bing appear to have more size option and shapes that would suit me..

Let's face it, even though Bing Copeland is not really running the company any more, they still have a rich history, what with the likes of Brewer and the Tak being past shapers and designers.

I can not bring myself to go in there anymore - if somehow I do make it there I always make sure the wallet is left in the car and there is no money in my spending account
