Got a text on my phone this afternoon (how else would you get a text you dickhead nozza says my little friend on my shoulder)
Should have been a question mark there above.
"AMAZON # 4GYFK1095RK7"paid $lots for Canon Camera on 14 May, contact us (phone number) if dispute.
Their english, not mine.
Sus from the start, but may be genuine?.
Called back the number (Adelaide), on the number but on the phone I was talking to Delhi.
They had all my details, name, mobile number, address.
Just needed my credit card nember to cancell the transaction.
I went through several umms and ahhs, hang up.
They called me back.
"if we weren't Amazon, how would we know all these details, all we need is your card number

Ummed and hung up

Got called back again, declined to give my card number, got transferred to a "supervisor

Again declined to give my card number. they hung up.
Have removed all payment options from Amazon, nothing has gone through.
Be careful out there..........

It's quoted it all again but I give up---- click the expand thing

I had something very similar happen to me, but they didn't ask for my credit card details and I am pretty sure it was Amazon as I got a verification SMS from the same number as previous Amazon purchases.
Apparently I bought a laptop. I did have to give my birth date to verify it was me, but the verification code I received prior to that put my mind at ease.
Reset my Amazon password.
