I called into Brownie's next door neighbor this morning, Cusso the glasser.

Took a candid photo....

I considered editing the photo to scrub out the phone number....
But, we're all surfers.... I figured a new customer is more likely to contact Brownie for a new board, as opposed random harassment!

So there you go folks!

How many times would that sign been put up over the years

This sign should be generic for every surf shop in oz, like a stop sign or traffic lights.

I ve always wanted to be a shaper just for that reason.
And also to tell a customer that there new board will be ready in 4 weeks to get there hopes up, but make then wait at least 8 [}:)][}:)]

Hey Simondo, off the subject abit, I read in a mag the other day that Lynchie was looking to move north ( Yamba Area )??
No chinese whispers of this in the line up down there at all ?
Only asking as I would love a new custom[}:)]

Haven't heard anything about Wayne heading North. Wouldn't surprise me too much though.

He had a heart attack I think. But I've seen him around, he's fine now. I had heard he was getting sick of the summer traffic down his way. He lives near Urquarts Bluff. So the summer traffic can get pretty full on some days down there. 1 lane each way. Like the Pacific Hwy NSW 1 lane sections... hectic!

You can see his TeePee on Google Maps.
1) Find Point Roadknight, and head West along that long beach.
2) At the end of that beach, you get to rocky sandy point and that is Urquarts, and you'll see a carpark in the corner.
3) Follow the carpark road, to another carpark on the South Side of The Great Ocean Road. A few hundred metres north of there is Wayne's place, and a Tee Pee - appears a roundish cone... roughly 20 legs on the TeePee.

I know exactly where you mean mate. I lived and surfed the coast from Pt Lonnie to Jowie for about 20 years.
I grew up in Barwon heads and my mum moved to Lavers hill about 10 years ago.
I had to move north though as it is to bloody cold in winter.
When I was younger I used to watch the right hander in there from the side of the road during massive swells and wonder. But that little 2 -3 k stretch of the coast always freaked me out as some of the older guys would always say there was a few sharky reefs between there and fairhaven so I always kept going south.
