Wondering anybody tried or heard any feedback on the go pro wifi Bacpac and remote kits .

Looks to be an easy way to convert the go pro 2 to a remote controlled unit .

I have the Hero 3 & use the wifi & iphone app but I reckon I'll use the remote when surfing, sorry but I've had no experience with the bacpac accessory but reckon it'd be pretty good.

i have a bacpac for GoPro 2 and it works well as it gives you a lot more use time. Not a waterproof feature though. Have a look on here for all info related to GoPro. Its run by a guy called Rambo who contributes to the 666 room. Its a very useful sight.

The hero 3 looks to be very very nice

Unfortunately Iam stuck with a go pro 2 . The young fellow just got a Muvi which comes with a remote and it is just so much easier to use . Actually the Muvi for what you get is prettygood value for money .

Sorry, can't help you.

But, have you seen the Motion Picture back-pack that George Greenough wore whilst shooting in the barrel at solid Lennox Head back in the late 60's!? He paved the way for GoPro (including Hero models). Crystal Voyager, closing scene, with some Pink Floyd music... all time... Hats off to George.

It's interesting that the "blue shades" come across better from Celluloid Film. This digital Vimeo copy is quite good, but this digital version has colour limitation. I would assume it is HD, not Full HD, or is it limitations from LCD's available colour spectrum?

What is the attraction to the remote? Someone said that you can start and stop multiple cameras with a single remote, do you guys surf with multiple cameras? Or are you switching the camera on just before you paddle for a wave?

^^^ One remote can control up to 50 cameras, wouldn't leave much room on your board though.

The big plus for me is not having to reach forward and hit the fire button when I see a wave coming .
Plus on the 666 to reach down and down the same with a paddle in your hand is for me near impossible .

But yep I hit the fire button when I see a wave coming , also change modes during a surf , video / photo whatever just to muck around
