Or something different, with the amount of lurkers and the present 'read' tab, how about a link from the read tab to a page of specifically those whom have logged in and viewed the topic?
It would give us a view of whom has been reading the topics i.e. the regulars and the randoms and we can work out the red thumbing from there.
Just green thumb everything posted by those being stalked.
Makes the thumbs irrelevent and means the stalker doesnt have a voice.
