I have come up with a bit of a theory on why there are so many GWS attacks in WA. I reckon there are just as many GWS on the east coast be we have evolved to elude them we have got a bit more commonsense and can duck and weave we are sort of like the springboks able to get away.
West Australians are sort of like the wildebeest of the population in Australia not so bright always getting eaten by all the predators not to quick on the uptake.
I am basing this observation purely on comments made from a few wildebeest from the SB forum as I dont know any west australians personally

i would put my money on boofy taking anybody out. rumour has it...it is not study at all that has kept him away from seabreeze....but a 3 month jungle training stint.

the government identified boofy early in life and chose him as australias leading jungle and urban ****wit eliminator. the only true thing about boofy's lies is that he has been taking tests....the government have now decide to invest $900,000,000 in cloning a army of boofy's.....only a rumour

Talking about movie world .have any of you seen a child go completely white and be so scared they open their mouth but can't scream

Went to movie world with the kids when the daughter was about 5 . Walked around trying to find a nice quiet child friendly ride . Found the scooby doo roller coaster . Looked nice and safe . Jumped on and we started going up and up , I am thinking holy **** this ain't looking good then down we came .

Poor kid . how bad did I feel .

Dont worry now she is a teenager she is getting her revenge in full

A good research topic for a doctorate / medical student / fisheries/enviro student would be;
A study of where people are most commonly bitten by sharks, what location causes the biggest probability of death (probably stomach area and size of shark!), where seals are most commonly bitten, and how seals survive/escape...

I would also like the CSIRO or similar to get involved with some of these so called shark deterrent devices. See some genuine testing results.

Imagine being a diver with a knife strapped to your thigh, as a potential defensive mechanism, only to have a best of a shark bite you on that thigh with the knife, and the knife disappears!

The footage of those WA boys fending off a GWS with their spears was pretty amazing.
