Had a couple of funny incidents on the weekend :

1. Drop in on by 6 guys on the same wave called them all and still made it...cackling to myself the whole way
2. Had some bloke drop in on me and start yelling "mine mine" as he looked back at me...so I went round underneath him....he was still yelling as the white water swallowed him up



Honestly if I din't laugh at this time of the year I would cry

It was one of/if not the most frustrating weekends of my LIFE!

I had 1 bloke drop in on me only to then fade and come straight at me and into the white water...

He gave me the stink eye as if I was in the wrong...

I moved down to another bank as this one was getting waaaay too busy with all the city folk for them to end up all following me - it was pretty comical, I was the herder of sheep. A flock of them following me paddling down the beach!

I have promised myself NEVER to surf that break again on any long weekend!

You should have given him a gentle nudge as you went past or just grabbed the nose of his board. Nice work though. A few of the Balos still like to treat their Jap employers to an uncrowded wave over here by taking off deeper than you and then as soon as you pull back they stop paddling and their client further down the line goes. I just smile and go anyway. They know they are in the wrong and if you call their bluff they do not do it again - always do it with a smile though I take pride in delaying my takeoff to create some havoc

Funny stuff...

Don't you love long weekends. We are surrounded by caravan parks, (5 at last count). So you have to learn to adapt to the insanity and I have found the best way is to go to where you guys live, Goldy, Byron, Bells and drop in on the locals calling mine, mine.

I also had a quite word with a 666 rider with a strong accent who thought he might have a dig at the local spot...he left without fuss
