Awesome looking line-up. As I am writing from Queensland where the water is always warm, can I ask what the water temp would be the moment in Vic and also what do you wear to stay warm? Eg. How thick is your steamer, do you have to wear booties, wetsuit cap etc...

Or are you hard core and wear boardies only.... :)

What I wear in the surf at the moment... 14 degree water - is Ugg Boots and Boardies. When it gets to 13 I wear a wettie vest.


Nah, seriously, water temp is about 14. Gets down to about 13... 3/2 Sealed Steamer just about gets us through. Even for New South Welshmen, a good quality 3/2 with hood and booties is fine... just keep moving! Fine for 1 to 1.5 hours anyway...

Me, I'm in a 3/2 no booties, no hood. I wear booties occasionally... Don't own a hood... mainly because I have a thick wig of hair which is almost like a hood!

Its empty beacuse the rest of Torquay has surfed themselves stupid over the last couple fo days...we had 3 foot Monday, 5 foot Tuesday, 3 foot Wednesday with offshores all day....I'm in the 4/3, booties and hood to protect my ears
