ET will post up some pics of some of my favourite spots n the NW for you to help in your holiday planning

hopefully some of the boys down south will post some pics of down that way

Penguin reef -




good left and rights , best on incoming tide when the winds from the north-northeast ,my favourite spot on the longboards and SUPS , not the best pics sorry, - best surfed in booties can get some nice cuts on the reef on bare feet

preservation bay - betw


between penguin and burnie , good beach breaks and nice point break on the northeast. can camp here for free beside the surf club .no facilitys provided though including no water , all BYO

Midpoint - next point passed preservation Bay , most popular spot on the northwest , nice lefthanders breaking over rocks

Sulfur creek - next beach around towards Burnie , very popular with the shortboarders .

Keep them coming Tassie. Actually just any nice pics from Tassie would be cool. Then hit Tassie tourism up for some new toys in order to keep this great thread going

Tassie government couldnt afford to buy me any more toys Chrispy , gone broke

looks sweet...looks a bit like Margs in that pic

This is boat harbour , about half an hour west of Burnie , has nice pic on magic seaweed of a day when the surf is up

this one is bushy park found deserted in a motel room across the road , haven't surfed this one personally

Thanks Devel, was in your area two trips ago. I love the Penguin cafe and boat harbour.
This trip is all in the east and Bruny Island. Also maybe that famous secret river mouth super bank.
Won't be just me, wife and 3 year old grandson who lives with us are my companions. Therefore won't be surf only.
Keep em coming.

Do people really use those blow up things. Well I'll be buggered, I have never even seen one before. Farking ugly bugger.

This looks like a lovely spot TD - looks like many spots on the West Coast of NZ - thanks for all the pics!

Nice shots RR - some of those setups look sick - always wanted to surf that right hand point and now I am going to have to add the Carlton River mouth super bank to my bucket list

Wouldn't live anywhere else .

Surf here is pretty fickle , changes pretty quick depending on tide , wind . Lucky I am self employed so can work around it most days .
