As I was tying my Fireball 9'6" on today one of the thrusters broke off ! Must have given it a nudge last surf.

Do you reckon go straight out and buy new ones or surf it as a single fin for a while?

from my experience, unless you increase the size of the main fin, then it will slide a bit... I surfed mine as a single with the standard fin for a while and when I put the side fins back in was very pleased with the improved hold and drive.

Good advise, your main fin will need to be at least 9 inches to ride as a single.

I've an old 9'1 fireball and I tried to go short in the middle. Problem was I only have short sidebites and can't replace them . Long sidebites and short is the way to go.

what ever you can afford ..as long as they are the same shape as the originals ..the FB comes from the factory as a good all rounder with the factory fins so no real need to change fin profiles ..better off moving the centre fin forwards or back to tune it in ...my 5 cents worth

Try Dion, good fins at a good price. Avoid the plastic fins.

The bigger sides you put in the more it will surf like a thruster, the smaller the sides the more it will be like a single fin. If you go bigger sides you want to reduce the centre fin.

I have an 8'6" ball by McT which is a shrunk down (like me) Fireball..
It goes really well with the std McT fins it came with but I'm trying a different setup which is a 6" centre fin with FCS H2 mediums as the side fins..Works really good..loose but comfortable

In essence though just get some fins from mates and play around and find which way you prefer
