So what do you guy' use on your logs/single fin boards.

I've got a 10 inch hatchet looks great but having a trouble steering the board any advice,I normally use a standard shape 10 inch which I might give a go on new new board.

The hatchet fins will give you lots of drive, but the arc will be long not tight.

I have a 10inch keel fin and absolutely love it. Turns great, hangs in tight and heaps of drive, I prefer it over my thruster set up now. I have put it in two of my boards.

mac, i have trouble on a 12'6, 14' ### with that size fin and the speed/drag is noticeable. thats why i asked you whether you still had the rainbow board- i reckon it would by way too much on a mal. i was reluctant to say anything, but seeing as you asked

get the shapers axe 9"- guaranteed the fin you need. best support and still surf fin around

True Ames L-Flex are awesome.

L-Flex B ("B" means extra Base, and Extra Drive). Great for The Point Breaks. Allows you slice through some big long cutties, and the flex in the tip gives you a bit of extra speed through the turn.

I'm partial to the redline's fin, it and the true ames look similar in pictures haven't held both in my hand at the same time.

How good do they go hey SMH. I am sure no one believes me, I must admit I was skeptical as well at first. they are very popular at my local break amongst the longboard crew on logs and performance mals. Also helps that a mate of mine has just started a new fin internet business and sells them cheap.

When I got the board shaped I went down to pick it up and it had that fin already in it. I was expecting more like a dolphin fin but Rabbidge said to me just give that a go and see what you think. I haven't even shifted it in the box in the 3 years I've had it. It works really good.

Chrispy its a Sea log from Dain Thomas. He worked for McTavish for a while and went out on his own. He now shapes under the Zed label. It can take months an months to get a board off him. The laminator at McTavish does his glassing and tints. Here's another pic.

Chrispy its got a rolled bottom with soft 50 /50 rails all the way through and a nose concave that goes almost half the length of the board. Its flat and glassed up heavy like a typical log.
