Good evening. I bumped into a shallow rock today and broke out the front part of the fin that secures in the finbox. I don't even know what that part of the fin is called. It is a 10" Fluid Foils glass fin so is worth trying to fix. I have some dodgy ideas but was wondering if anybody has a good fix. Thanks in advance. cheers
You can fix it by reversing the pin to the front... and screw at rear , the only downside is that the next rock you hit the fin box may rip out as it now pivots from the front .
Thanks guys. I am going to cut the broken piece off and slightly shorten the length of the base of the fin and have a short tab to mount the screw plate to. File the leading edge curve at the fin base. Should be good????
