Well as you know,it was a long lineup which took many hours to thin down.Likewise I appreciate the time you've put in to get this thing rolled out in a short time frame.
Looks like it will pay off,as it will be the number one premium log store in town and after over hearing what the other blokes are up to,well lets just have a laugh about that on opening night.

All the kitchen and tv's will be fitted today so we can start stocking tomorrow. So many cool things I want to take them home.

I've got 2 in Manly

Dripping Wet North Manly - wish it had more local shapers, few less SUP's (place is stacked with'm) and a coffee machine.

6oz Boardstore Manly - wish it had a coffee machine, doesn't have a tv for movies, but you don't go there to see a tv, just to drool.

It's probably good neither place has a coffee machine, I already spend too much time in them. I also went to a "shop" that had a coffee machine one day on the NB's it was around 7 the coffee window was open but you couldn't go inside to look at boards, was mighty un impressed!

Six Ounce boardstore is pretty good. I had a few off Ben who is the friendly proprietor. He's worked in the industry as well and has a lot of knowledge.
Ben would do a lot better if he had some instore pole dancers.

Yeah 6 ounce is pretty cool - I met ben a coupla years ago when he was doing some work for another outlet in bondi junction. Mctavish also had a cruisey lounge area where peoole used to just come in, throw on a dvd and hang out for an hour : that was a nice chilled vibe at the time and sadly missing from surf shops now.

There's a good store at Tugun but only stocks there label.

I bet some guy's are frothing at the opening but can they deliver

Mac did a bad bad thing today

As my fave store is no more,I visited two new store today, well one is brand new and the other has been around for a few years now and even had a couple of beers with the owner and another guy Matt.

I eyed off some board prone laying around and just maybe there could be a change of label coming.

I reckon macs also up against some sort of mental barrier.

If he doesn't see one of them dirty big Ms in front of him he thinks ''oops, better not stand up, somethings not right"

I don't know why, there's FA waves, I'm back home already frigging about in the shed with a plan shape.

Some EPS blocks have fallen into my lap so I'm thinking of making a pigboard to a very classic 60s shape.

I've made the hot wire cutter and I've done the two rocker curves I need.

Just got to tidy up the plan shape before I move on the the next phase, trying the work out what adhesive I need to glue the foam blocks together.

So far, everything I've used has been salvaged from a builders skip bin at work.

Everything other than the $4.95 I needed for the 4 metres of Nichrome heater wire.

Epoxy - grab some filler with it, will end up being the same stuff you use to do a fill/skim coat before glassing.

Places for resin:

Dion (Brookvale)
Shapers.com.au
Marineware
fgi

I have a shaping/sanding block and some paper and meshes if you want to borrow them. I have a fin box too I was going to putting in the SUP I started but I decided not to put it in - happy to pass it along for cost.

Thanks craz, I've got most of the stuff I need and I have built a board before but it was 35 years ago and it was never epoxy and I never rode it because it was a short board and I only did it to see if I could.

And I have worked with glass as a hobby for just about all my life.
