Had a board damaged that was freighted from the Gold Coast. Thought this time I would be smart and purchase the Damage Insurance. So purchased it only the receive the board with some damage to the tail. Lodge a claim with e-go for them to tell me it can take upto 28 days to process a claim

29 days later I follow up and they don't have any of my details on record. So I resubmit everything again to wait another month to receive this email today.
Good morning Dave I have had conformation from E-GO as per below; For a damage claim to be approved, the item must be deemed as having been packaged suitably for transportation to avoid damage. This item looks to have simply been shipped in a surfboard bag. This is insufficient. Please see below the consignment in question and also an example of how other senders ship surfboards to avoid damage. With damage being the primary contributing factor to the damage sustained, I must decline the insurance claim.
I am fuming at this point (today) and they were kind enough to give me an example of what they think is suitable packaging.

As a lot of you buys and sell boards and get posted interstate I thought I would share this with you as a warning.
