I have had some good.times at the pass with some good crew.....but how good is it? The place is a ****hole. Filled with tourist kooks, tryhard hipsters and the local knob smokers who are all fighting for the big fish in the little pond of fake coolness...

The pass sucks dog balls, the pass makes snapper look like a place.filled with rainbows and lollipops....

Glad you are having a great time et

Don't hesitate to tell it like it is Chris.
I agree actually...had one surf over there at the pass and spent most of the time dodging hipsters. Would have been nice in the MOTE era though. Tallows is a fun wave I reckon.
Had a fun surf out front this morn. Best thing was no hipsters.

It is a fun wave. like all the points in the region it can be incredibly frustrating as well as amazing on any given day with crowds, sweep, wind or simply not feeling the vibe on any day.

I squeezed in a quick surf yesterday morning before work as I had to go to Lismore. It was incredibly relaxed, minimal crowds and was zipping through middle / end section with knee to waist high walls. Managed a good one from next to rock all the way through to the stairs to the top carpark. Did help I was on the 10fter.

To have waves everyday of your holiday is the reason why you camped at Clarkes!! Outside of school holidays crowds, not to hot - maybe a little cool, I would say you scored.

I like the waves around the pass more...If I had a longboard with me I would have surfed the next place up the road, picked up more swell & I love the wacky way it breaks & reforms

Good thread this one isn't it.

I didn't think there was so much passion around about the Pass.

Had a great break, despite a few days of heavy rain. Yep I sit wide and about a third of the way in. Even took the SUP out a few times.

For a relaxed holiday, with a good break out front, you can't beat Clarkes. IMHO.

Both logs mate, the involvement has its wider piont in the bottom 3rd of the board,no real idea both old school log styles
the redline and pin' are much better user friendly and down the line boards imho

We're just trying to talk other people out of going to reduce numbers for our next holidays
